However, you do not have to oversee this rather complex area alone, and our team at Dental Focus can help.

At Dental Focus, we have nearly 20 years of experience helping dental surgeries with their dental SEO. Helping dental surgeries get to the top page on Google is what we do!

Here, some of our team at Dental Focus answers 5 questions that we regularly receive about dental SEO, so read on to learn more.

What is SEO?

SEO stands for search engine optimisation, which is in essence the easiest way to get your site onto the first page of Google results using a set of tips, such as having a relevant blog, having compressed images on your page and ensuring that all of your content is unique and regularly updated. Dental SEO is more relevant to the field of dental care and will revolve around other areas such as patient experience, practice location and the products that you can offer.

Why is it important for my dental surgery?

SEO is important for your dental surgery as simply put, it is highly likely that your

competitors are using it. And it is the easiest way (along with being the cheapest) to reach the widest group of people possible to potentially become your new patients.

How long will it take to get the required ranking on Google?

We will aim to get you onto page one of Google as soon as possible, but be aware that this is

more complicated than it sounds. If you have your dental surgery in a place like Sydney, there are probably many other surgeries around you that are competing for that same spot on Google. So even with the highest level of dental marketing, you may not get to the first page of Google for around six months. If you are based in a rural area, it could take as little as two.

Is it an ongoing process?

In most cases, dental marketing is an ongoing process and will usually involve our team

starting out with a large makeover of the site, setting up other areas and then updating the blog and other parts of your surgery page every week or every two weeks. This will consistently help drive traffic to your site.

But there may be other variables too; if you are offering bonuses or a promotion we may temporarily need to put in a bit more work to ensure that these reach the first page of Google. This may involve more specialised blog posts and different photography being uploaded to the site, which we would not usually do every week.

Can I only have bits of the marketing plan if I wish?

At Dental Focus, we do not want to offer you services which you do not need. And so, we are flexible in the marketing and SEO services that we provide based on what it is that you want to achieve with them. If you are unsure of which areas of dental marketing and SEO are appropriate for your surgery, feel free to get in contact with us and we will discuss these with you after conducting an assessment of your website.
