To post or not to post, that is the question! [Part 2]

DominicGood morning, good afternoon or good evening!

Yesterday we covered some of the fundamentals of what to Do if you are a dental practice aiming for success on a social media platform. Today we will cover the things you Don’t want to do as a dental practice operating on social media.

Before going any further, why not make a short list of what you think a dental practice should avoid doing on social media and compare with mine.

Don’t:

  • Bring the profession into disrepute.

  • Email, chat or message sensitive patient data without encryption.
  • Tweet the patient and ask how their implants fitted two years ago are functioning.
  • Upload pictures of flowers in the surgery.
  • Identify the patient unless you have explicit written consent.
  • Miss the small print when marketing your treatments.
  • Say you are a specialist unless you know when it is allowed!

Congratulations if you managed to get any of mine! And those of you that are guilty of perpetrating any of those heinous acts, stop, and go back to part one of this blog!

I hope these tips have come in handy!
